Coudl you confirm that CONFIG_BLK_DEV_UBD_SYNC is on ?

The only case I've seen before with such behavior is to use filesystem
on an encrypted folder or NFS. Is that our case ?

netkit NG filesystem has been modified by you or you're running them as it ?
