Subject: [Netkit.users] compiled kernel does not work

I am compiling the netkit kernel myself for a minor reason: I need some of
the header files that are removed in the distribution. I simply ran the
given makefile, everything compiled, but when I start a virtual machine with
it, it crashes on bootup. The xterm disappears too fast for me to see
whether any error message was printed out. Any tips for how to debug the
issue?
