Dear GD member,

As announced at the Business Meeting of GD 2022 last week, the GD Steering Committee would like to consult the community for the choice of the venue of the 32nd Int. Symposium on Graph Drawing and Network Visualization (GD 2024).

The two candidate bids are:

  * TU Wien, Vienna, Austria - Martin Nöllenburg and Robert Ganian
  * Linköping University, Norrköping, Sweden - Andreas Kerren and Kostiantyn Kucher

For a more informed decision, you can watch recordings of the pitches of Martin<https://youtu.be/tBMQ9syC8h0> and Andreas<https://youtu.be/Amf4XkzDO8o> at the Business Meeting.

I will soon set up the election through the Belenios system that we have already used in the past for other GD elections; you will receive an automatic email with the instructions and the link to vote.

All current members of this GDNET mailing list will be allowed to vote. If you are registered with more than one email address, we kindly ask you to vote only once.

The election will be open till next Wednesday, Sept. 28, 23:59 AoE.

On behalf of the GD Steering Committee,
Patrizio Angelini
